Undergraduate Students’ Research Presented at a International Conference

A collaborator of the Digital Impoliteness project, Professor Lucas Willian Marciano supervised a study developed by undergraduate students Alice Lima Domingos de Paula, Gabriella Siqueira de Carvalho, and Isabella Moussa Macedo as part of the course Introduction to Scientific Research at FALE/UFMG.

The research examined attacks directed at the STF (Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court) following the trial of ex-president Jair Bolsonaro, investigating discursive dynamics and user behaviour in digital environments. The study was later presented at the II International Congress on Language, Literature and Discourse, expanding the reach of the discussion and strengthening the students’ experience in academic research.
