The digitally mediated discourse of the far right in Brazil and its effects on the rights of women and the LGBT+ community
This portal is an initiative of the Project "The digitally mediated discourse of the extreme right in Brazil and its effects on the rights of women and the LGBT+ community", funded by CNPq, process number 404672/2023-0.
We investigate the role of impolite and indecent language in the erosion of Brazilian democracy. Our main focus is on manifestations of misogyny and homophobia on digital networks. Our intention is to disseminate knowledge and information to a broad audience interested in democracy, minority rights, conflict language, digital media, pluralism and related topics.
