DIGITAL IMPOLITENESS

Book

The book is an educational resource aimed at raising awareness and debate about Digital Language, Gender and Democracy in Brazil, produced by the project participants.

Digital Language, Gender and Democracy in Brazil

The book analyzes how the speeches of authoritarian leaders—often impolite and offensive—have fueled social polarization and threatened fundamental rights. It focuses specifically on verbal attacks on the judiciary, the LGBT+ community, and women, revealing how indecent language undermines democracy. By addressing these issues from the perspective of equality and constitutional principles, the book invites critical debate on the role of language in preserving the democratic rule of law. It is an educational resource for raising awareness on the topic. The book proposes activities for students and researchers in the field.
